history

Before launching as an independent organization in 2017, Teach For Pakistan was piloted in Karachi and Lahore from 2011-2016, recruiting and developing over 100 top graduates to teach and lead education reform.

Teach For Pakistan’s past Fellows have broadened opportunities for 7,700 children who they have taught in 64 public, low-cost and NGO schools in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Our growing Alumni movement is already creating impact on a large scale, training thousands of teachers, managing schools, shaping provincial education policies and supporting innovation in education. They are accelerating the impact of the most influential organizations working in education in Pakistan today, including The Citizens Foundation, World Bank, and the Center for Economic Research in Pakistan.

After a five-year pilot, Teach For Pakistan has launched as an independent organization based in Islamabad.

Teach for Pakistan is legally registered as OneToMany, a non-profit company registered under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance.
